Flow: Follow-Up After Delivery

/flow-followup  Builds a Flow that waits a few days after delivery, then tags the order so your email tool or Shopify Email can send a review or reorder nudge.

Add to Sidekick

Add opens your Shopify admin with the skill prefilled; review it there and click Add. If nothing appears, use Copy and follow the steps below.

Personalize before you add

Values come from your store profile when set. Leave a field blank to keep the placeholder and fill it in Sidekick.

The skill

Suggested shortcut: /flow-followup
Build a Shopify Flow that follows up [DAYS] days after an order is delivered.

## Steps
1. Check that Shopify Flow is installed and whether the store uses Shopify Email, a review app, or both. Ask which tool should send the follow-up if unclear.
2. Design the workflow: trigger "Order delivered" (or "Fulfillment event created" with status delivered if the trigger is unavailable); wait [DAYS] days; condition "order is not refunded"; action "Add order tags: followup-due" and, if the store uses Shopify Email with a matching automation, note that the tag can start it.
3. Show the trigger → wait → condition → action list.
4. Ask for approval. Only after a clear yes, create the workflow inactive and tell me where to activate it and how to connect the tag to the email.

## Output
The workflow summary, then "Create this workflow (inactive)?", then the confirmation.

Do not send any email in this skill. Do not activate the workflow.
How to add it to Sidekick
  1. Click Add to Sidekick above. Your Shopify admin opens with the skill ready to review. Click Add. Done.
  2. If the button does nothing in your store: click Copy skill, open Sidekick in your admin, type /, choose Create new skill, name the shortcut flow-followup, paste the text as the instructions, and save.
  3. To run it, type /flow-followup in Sidekick. Sidekick keeps up to 25 skills; manage yours from the skills menu.

What you get

The timing part of a review or reorder sequence, done in Flow, with a tag your email tool can use as a trigger.

When to use it

When you want reviews or repeat orders without manually chasing customers.

Variations

  • “Only for first-time customers” adds a condition on customer order count.
  • “Different delays for different product types” creates branches.

Limits

Delivery events depend on the carrier providing tracking updates. Orders without tracking will not trigger a delivered event; use “fulfilled + 7 days” instead.

Status: Written for Sidekick but not yet run on a live store. Results may need a second prompt. Time saved: about 30 min.
