Theme Block for a Horizon Theme
/theme-block Describes a theme block you want on a Horizon-based theme and has Sidekick generate it, with settings, for you to place in the editor.
Add opens your Shopify admin with the skill prefilled; review it there and click Add. If nothing appears, use Copy and follow the steps below.
Personalize before you add
Values come from your store profile when set. Leave a field blank to keep the placeholder and fill it in Sidekick.
The skill
Suggested shortcut:/theme-block Create a theme block: [BLOCK DESCRIPTION]. ## Steps 1. Check which theme is live and whether it is built on Horizon. If it is not, stop and tell me the block feature needs a Horizon-based theme; suggest the closest built-in section instead. 2. Write a short spec before generating: block name, what it displays, which parts are editable settings (text, image, link, colour), default values, and where it should be used (product page, home, collection). 3. Generate the block with those settings, matching the theme's existing fonts and spacing. Use the theme's colour scheme settings rather than hard-coded colours. 4. Tell me exactly how to add it in the theme editor: which page, Add block, the block name, and what to fill in. Do not add it to the live theme yourself. ## Output The spec, the confirmation that the block was generated, then the placement steps. Do not modify existing sections or the theme's Liquid files. Do not publish theme changes.
How to add it to Sidekick
- Click Add to Sidekick above. Your Shopify admin opens with the skill ready to review. Click Add. Done.
- If the button does nothing in your store: click Copy skill, open Sidekick in your admin, type
/, choose Create new skill, name the shortcuttheme-block, paste the text as the instructions, and save. - To run it, type
/theme-blockin Sidekick. Sidekick keeps up to 25 skills; manage yours from the skills menu.
What you get
A custom block you can drop into any page in the theme editor, with settings a non-developer can edit, generated to match your theme.

Size charts, trust rows, “as seen in” strips, comparison tables, FAQ accordions, delivery estimates.

Limits
Horizon-based themes only. On older themes Sidekick cannot edit theme code; use a section from the theme, a page-builder app, or a developer.
