Free Shipping Threshold Offer
/free-shipping Recommends a free-shipping threshold from your real AOV, then creates the automatic discount after you confirm.
Add opens your Shopify admin with the skill prefilled; review it there and click Add. If nothing appears, use Copy and follow the steps below.

The skill
Suggested shortcut:/free-shipping Set up a free-shipping threshold in [CURRENCY]. ## Steps 1. Pull average order value and the distribution of order totals for the last 60 days. Check shipping settings for the current rates and any existing free-shipping rules. 2. Recommend a threshold 15% to 25% above the median order value, rounded to a natural number, and explain with the numbers: what share of orders already qualify and what share sit within 20% below it. 3. Show the proposed automatic discount: free shipping, minimum purchase at the threshold, all countries the store ships to unless I limit it, no end date, combines with product discounts. 4. Ask for approval. Only after a clear yes, create the automatic discount and confirm. ## Output The recommendation with its three numbers, then "Create the automatic free-shipping discount at this threshold?" Do not change shipping rates or zones in this skill. If the store already has free shipping everywhere, say so and stop.
How to add it to Sidekick

What you get
A threshold based on your own order sizes rather than a guess, and the automatic discount created for you. Merchants typically set it just above the median order so the “add one more item” nudge works.
When to use it
When AOV has been flat, before a peak season, or when shipping costs have changed.
Variations
- “Only for domestic orders” to keep international costs in check.
- “Also draft an announcement-bar line” pairs with
/announcement-bar.
Limits
Sidekick creates the discount but does not edit your shipping profiles. If you use shipping-rate-based free shipping instead of a discount, adjust it in Settings › Shipping.
