Blog Post from a Keyword

/blog-post  Drafts a 700 to 1,000 word blog post around one keyword, links to your real products, and saves it as a draft.

Add to Sidekick

Add opens your Shopify admin with the skill prefilled; review it there and click Add. If nothing appears, use Copy and follow the steps below.

Personalize before you add

Values come from your store profile when set. Leave a field blank to keep the placeholder and fill it in Sidekick.

The skill

Suggested shortcut: /blog-post
Draft a blog post for the keyword [KEYWORD] in a [BRAND TONE] voice.

## Steps
1. Check which products and collections in the store relate to the keyword. Pick 2 to 4 to reference by name with links.
2. Outline first: a working title with the keyword, an intro that answers the search intent in the first two sentences, 4 to 6 H2 sections, and a short conclusion with one call to action.
3. Write 700 to 1,000 words. Use short paragraphs, one list, and specific details from the product data. No filler introductions, no "in today's fast-paced world".
4. Add an SEO title under 60 characters, a meta description under 155 characters, and an excerpt.
5. Save it to the blog as an unpublished draft and tell me where to find it.

## Output
The full post, then the SEO fields, then the confirmation that a draft was created.

Do not publish. Do not invent statistics or quotes. If you want to cite a fact you are unsure of, phrase it as a general statement instead.
How to add it to Sidekick
  1. Click Add to Sidekick above. Your Shopify admin opens with the skill ready to review. Click Add. Done.
  2. If the button does nothing in your store: click Copy skill, open Sidekick in your admin, type /, choose Create new skill, name the shortcut blog-post, paste the text as the instructions, and save.
  3. To run it, type /blog-post in Sidekick. Sidekick keeps up to 25 skills; manage yours from the skills menu.

What you get

A draft post in your blog, already structured for search, linking to real products. You edit and publish.

When to use it

Monthly content runs, seasonal buying guides, and “how to choose” articles that support your best sellers.

Variations

  • “Make it a comparison of our [product A] and [product B]”.
  • “Write it as an FAQ page with 8 questions”.

Limits

Sidekick cannot browse competitor articles or check search volumes. Give it the keyword you already know matters.

Status: Written for Sidekick but not yet run on a live store. Results may need a second prompt. Time saved: about 45 min / post.
